Mr. Heidelberger brings more than 20 years of general management experience in enterprise software. Prior to leading Nexaweb, Chris was CEO and president of ChannelWave Software. He led this company from its inception through $63 M venture capital funding and several acquisitions and sold the company to Click Commerce in February, 2005.
David Cancel, Compete.com and Lookery.com
Mr. Cancel has more than 10 years of experience in information technology management. He oversees Compete’s overall technology strategy, from the design of its patent-pending architecture to the investigation and implementation of new technologies. Prior to co-founding Compete, Mr. Cancel was Vice President of Technology and Chief Technology Officer at BuyerZone.
David Straden, Flagship Partners
Dave is the founder and Managing Partner of Flagship Partners. He has been investing in and helping to shape successful growth companies for over twenty years across a range of industries from media to technology-enabled business services. Mr. Straden has also led a number of corporate turnarounds as CEO, worked in corporate strategy for an large international conglomerate and provided M&A advice and managed IPOs as an investment banker for Smith Barney. He has served on many Boards and presently is a Director of Avenue Right.
John W. (Jack) Martin
John W. (Jack) Martin is an independent financial consultant with a thirty year background as an executive and advisor in public and private companies. Jack has played a significant role in a large number of financing, partnership, and purchase transactions involving businesses defined by creative people, unique intellectual property, and remarkable growth. Jack joined Groove Networks in 1998 as its vice president of finance and administration. He was closely involved in the merger transaction between Groove and Microsoft Corporation in 2005 after raising $120 million in capital for the business. He advised Groove on its startup plan and early financing strategy for and served as a Board member on two venture-funded clients during this period.
Saqib Syed, PredictSoft LLC
Saqib has over 15 years of experience in product development, marketing, business/corporate development, and sales. Prior to founding PredictSoft, Saqib served in various executive positions at CA and BMC most notably as the VP of Strategy and Business Development for the Enteprise Systems Management Business Unit at CA where he helped grow the business at twice the market growth rate for 2 consecutive years.
Tom Serani, Ratepoint
As Co-founder and Vice President of Global Sales for RatePoint and in his former position as Managing Director of Sales at GeoTrust, Mr. Serani has successfully grown both direct and channel sales operations. At GeoTrust, Tom led the channel sales lines and was instrumental in recruiting the largest ISPs and hosting companies as resellers, as well as over 9,000 small-to mid-size hosting companies. Tom grew channel sales revenues by nearly 700 percent, accounting for nearly one-third of all GeoTrust’s revenue; and served as interim Vice President of Sales, prior to the company’s acquisition by VeriSign. Following the acquisition, Tom stayed on as Director of Global Accounts and managed all channel sales and strategy for the GeoTrust brand.
