Why did Sonian choose to host its platform on the Amazon Cloud?
Sonian chose to leverage public cloud computing in general (rather than building its own cloud) in order to maintain focus on its core competency; building simple yet sophisticated information archiving and management software. Â Tapping into the public cloud also enables us to benefit from the scale that the cloud affords, resulting in lower prices, higher availability, and improved performance for our customers. Â When we created Sonian, Amazon was the only cloud provider that met our requirements for scale, security, overall maturity, and a commitment to open standards. Â Other providers continue to advance, and we expect to deploy Sonian to additional clouds in the near future.
